If you’re new here, welcome! We’d love if you’d subscribe to the blog and our other social media locations (on the right side bar).
Go –>here<– to see the linkups of past weeks to know what this is all about.
Have you been reading the blog this past week? We posted an easy to follow guide all about shopping online flash sales! We had a great guest post from Deme demonstrating how to take one dress and make it appropriate for all 4 seasons! She gave great tips on stretching your wardrobe with other items, as well.
Also, get ready for a load of awesomeness coming to the blog soon. We know we have been slow on posts during the week, but the future is looking bright with many new p
osts! This coming week we’ll be featuring 3 guests posts all about do-it-yourself fashion and beauty. We can’t give you any more details than that, because then we’d spoil all the fun!
We’re also hosting an extra special linkup on January 28th, details coming on Monday next week. There will even be a giveaway from Kendra as part of the fun! And in the first week of February, we’ll be hosting our very first giveaway from a lovely shop (which is a surprise. I know, we’re torturing you with lack of details)!
So the moral of all this is: make sure you are following us on twitter, facebook, or by email (all on right sidebar) so that you don’t miss any of this amazing action.
Phew.
Back to what I wore Sunday!
{Emily}

So I live in Ohio. And it’s 62 degrees. So what did I do to celebrate? Wore a pretty dress! In fact, the same dress that I wore for our engagement pictures.
You have no idea how exciting it is to be able to wear this. In January. In Ohio. No idea.
Anyway, dress is from Macy’s.
Shoes from DSW (I’ve worn them a lot. But they’re my absolute fave)
Sweater is my mom’s. Yep, I still steal my mom’s clothing.
Earrings with an awkwardly-close closeup are from a Christmas present from francesca’s collection.
{Kendra}
It was pretty warm today for us too! In fact, I sort of regret not just wearing a short sleeve top to church, but oh well. It feels like summer outside….
Outfit details first:
Target Cardigan, H&M white shirt and grey tank underneath, Forever 21 strapless dress that I wore as a high waisted skirt instead today. I really like the pattern, but ever since my dad saw it and called it my “tribal skirt” I can’t think of it as anything but funny anymore….sigh.
I also had on really cute nude heels that I got from an Ideeli flash sale, but those came off as soon as I got home and I forgot to put them back on for the picture. Oh yeah, I had a necklace at one point too. It was a cute flower necklace that my sister Kaitlin brought me back from when she was living in Kosovo…..but I think Henry ripped it off.
I really need to start taking pictures before we go to Mass.
My husband and I play a “game” most Sunday mornings when it comes to choosing a mass time. We never set an alarm, and we look at the clock when we wake up. If it’s before 10:45, we get ready and go to 11:30 church. If it’s after then, we go to 5:30 evening mass.
I can’t remember the last time we woke up early enough for the first mass (yeah I know we sleep late), but today was one of those days. I woke up to my husband yelling “Hey! We woke up early enough for morning mass, want to go?!?” So I we did. It feels good to go right away, honestly.
Henry only has 2 modes at church these days: grouchy and wanting to sleep/nurse, or um…*passionately* happy. So basically, there is no way to win the quiet game at church anymore. We just hope that whoever sits near us likes a rowdy happy baby

Speaking of which, he was both of those things at church today, and cried the whole way home. Of course, after church he’s fine, although the pants and socks came off fairly quick. The other half of his outfit is a cute little sweater and a yellow diaper, which managed to stay on.
Happy Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord Jesus! We can’t wait to visit your posts and see how your church experiences went! (and of course, what you wore.)
Thanks for participating, as always!

Ciao ladies, looking forward to this even more than usual…I somehow virtually ‘miss’ all my internet friends something fierce, even though I’m technically not all that much further away.
Gah-OR-geous dress! Such a nice color. And I still “steal” jewelry from my mom whenever I visit! I just ask her if she has anything that she doesn’t wear anymore that she’d let me take back with me. It’s the best
I love that dress, and have ever since I saw your engagement photos! That color is amazing.
I love that color because it is so summery and so wintery at the same time. It just depends on how you dress it!
First time linking up! Beautiful color! Most of my mom’s clothes are way nicer (and cooler) than mine so I often take her hand me downs. Not too proud for free clothes
Emily, I’m in love with that dress! And Kendra, I am sooo glad to see I’m not the only one who bases Mass time on how late I end up sleeping =)
Emily, I love your dress color, and those earrings are so fun.
Kendra, I love that cardi, and how you wore your dress as a skirt. We definitely do the same thing with mass times!
Emily – that blue dress is stunning! I’m so jealous you could wear it – it was a bitter zero degrees when I left for Mass this morning!
I love your skirt, Kendra, and your skin looks so creamy and clear!
Love that color on you, Emily! It’s a super cute dress and I love those earrings! LOL, and Kendra, I love your skirt. I hear ya about babies-ripping-off-necklaces, haha.
Hahaha Kendra, I love your facial expression with Henry!
Also, I love how I come to post my link on Sunday evening and there are already 34 people here!!!! It’s grown so much! I guess I’m going to have to get dressed earlier in the day so I can get to the top o’ the list!
You both look classy! Thanks for the great link up, ladies.
cute blue dress I am in Ohio too it was crazy warm!
Kendra’s facial expression while holding Henry is what really makes the outfit. Seriously though, love the skirt K, and E the dress is just what the warm weather was calling for.
Hello lovely ladies. I am so excited to join in for the very first time. I have followed the blog for some time and I love your creativity and love of all things beautiful. So happy to be a part of this link up!
Kendra – boys just have a way of describing clothes that always sticks! Once my husband or dad call an item something I can’t help but think of it in that way. Boys!
Emily – Love the blue and the earrings are gorgeous!
Kendra- The skirt/dress is beautiful but I know how you feel. I had a striped shirt that I loved until my husband told me I looked like a referee wearing it. Now stripes are ruined for me.
