Please read this entire post this week, even if you are a What I Wore Sunday veteran. There is important information!

If you’re new here, welcome! We’d love if you’d subscribe to the blog and our other social media locations (on the right side bar).
Go –>here<– to see the linkups of past weeks to know what this is all about.
First things first, if you haven’t already entered our fun little giveaway we’re hosting with Designer Jules this week, you should! This is our first hosted giveaway from a sponsor, and we are hoping for many more in the future for all of you
This is the last Sunday before Lent, people! How does it feel? Since Emily and I are Catholic-to-be and Catholic, respectively, we will probably be talking at least a little bit about Lent on these WIWS posts for the next few weeks. I’ve also been thinking about how to cultivate even more of an attitude of reverence during this special time, while still doing this weekly linkup.
Here’s what we’re going to do:
1) We’re going to be very lax about the content of your WIWS linkup posts. If you feel called to do less of an outfit post, and more of a Lenten reflection post, go for it! You can still link it up. We only ask that you still post at least one picture of your day, such as posting a partial outfit, or maybe put the focus of what you wore on a special religious, item like a medallion, a veil, or the rosary you brought to mass. Of course, you are just as holy and wonderful by doing your regular outfit posts, too. For many of us, doing these posts and dressing up more is a great spiritual exercise each week, and we definitely encourage that!
2) We would like to start doing a short Lenten reflection to be included in this linkup post every week. It can be a few sentences to a paragraph or 2, reflecting on the week’s readings, your personal Lenten sacrifices, or anything else relevant to Lent. If you wish to participate and write one of these reflections, please contact us! There are 6 Sundays in Lent, so up to 6 of you can do this. We’ll let you know which week you’ll be responsible for. Emily or I can fill in for any weeks not covered if there is not enough interest, but we’re hoping to get many of you involved!
I’ll be back with my outfit picture once I get the chance! Family first!
Have a great Sunday!

Love the thought of including reflections on Lent! Great idea ladies!!!!
Love this link-up and love Lent, so I’m sure it’ll be a smash! Can’t wait to learn from all of you!
Good idea with the Lent reflections. I don’t know that I’ve ever sat down and done a reflection on Lent. If you end up needing people, I would be willing to help
Love the idea to incorporate Lenten practices and reflections into the WIWS posts. I try to include thoughts on the Gospel, Mass, etc. when they strike, but I think this will motivate me to keep my eyes and ears open a bit more than usual.
Thanks for hosting Ladies and for thinking of ways to help us all dive deeper into Lent!
