I’ve decided to play along with Hallie over at Moxie Wife’s fun linkup this week! If you haven’t been to her blog, you should: it’s a delightfully joyful blog about marriage and faith.

Ever heard of Connected in Hope?
From their website: “Connected in Hope Foundation is a non-profit, social enterprise empowering women in Ethiopia to rise above poverty through sustainable income development.”
Empowerment of women is a big reason we run this blog, so I’m so happy to have found this. If you are looking for a beautiful scarf and want to help promote sustainable living wages, this is a good place to go.

I’m really anxious to break out some of my pretty summer clothing, but it’s not quite time yet, even here in NC. This colorful ruffle top from the Lauren Conrad collection at Kohl’s is my fav! It’s so summery and cheery, so I got this cardigan from Target awhile ago to wear with it through the slightly too-chilly weather. I’m hoping for 70 degree weather any day now…

I tried to pick just one post, but I can’t. The entire blog for The Guiding Star Project is just amazing! I’ve been very moved by the thought provoking posts lately on a huge variety of women’s topics like the pro-life movement, self-worth, sexual assault, and more.

If you don’t absolutely melt when reading Kaitlin’s WIWS post (and seeing those precious pictures) this week, you’re not human. There I said it.

Ok, I’m just so so so happy that we have our new Pope that I have to include that in my favorites. Did anyone else just get overwhelmed and a little weepy at his beautiful address to us today? I felt as if his words were a giant hug for each one of us. I felt his love for his brothers and sisters in Christ just in watching him on that balcony. Wow. I must remember to keep praying for him and for our church.
(Pope Francis comes out at 1:16:45)
Habemus Papam! I love you already, Pope Francis!

It’s almost a guarantee that I will love anything LC at Kohls!
Thanks so much for mentioning us in your Five Favorites post and for helping to spread the word about the incredible women we work with in Ethiopia!
blessings.
