My name is Alea and I’m so honored to be hosting What I Wore Sunday this week! I hope everyone is having a blessed holiday season and I wish you all joy and happiness this time of year.
Now for a little background. I’m currently a senior at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. I’ll be graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Photography in May, along with my fiancé, Branden, who will be graduating with a degree in Telecommunications. Our Extraordinary Form wedding is set for May 18th, two weeks after graduation.
Branden and I are both homeschool graduates and we met while through a homeschool theater group in grade school. We grew in friendship throughout high school, began dating in senior year, and got engaged in September of our junior year at Ball State. After school, we will move back to Indianapolis to be close to our families. I plan to continue to work as a nanny while building up my portrait photography business and Branden will be working as a freelance videographer.
Everyday life currently consists of balancing our school with life at home and finding time enough for each other and our families. It’s not easy, but we look forward to blending our traditions and continuing to grow as a couple.
Over at Snapshots and Sweet Dreams, I blog about our wedding plans, fashion, my love for pretty cosmetics, crafting mishaps, life as a young Catholic and anything else I can capture in a photo.
I have big dreams for the future that involve babies, travel, and building a home with my love. I hope some of you come along for the ride!
You can also find me sharing the pretty things of life on Instagram (http://instagram.com/shutterbug68), talking to myself on Twitter (https://twitter.com/shutterbug68) and occasionally updating on Facebook. (https://www.facebook.com/SnapshotsAndSweetDreams)
Now for my outfit!
OOTDCoat: Old Navy
The coat is an after-christmas purchase from last year.
Sweater: George
The sweater is from a consignment store called Clothes Mentor. (http://www.clothesmentor.com)
Skirt: Worthington (thrifted)
Shoes: Justice (also thrifted)
Yes, I wear girls shoes sometimes. Hey, if they fit and look cute, I figure why not?
Thanks so much to the ladies of Fine Linen and Purple for letting me host this week and I can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits for this week! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  1. really cute outfit! I love all the pieces you chose.

  2. The link to Alea’s blog is broken up at the top there.

I wish I could wear shoes as cute as that! I have huge feet. Women’s shoes don’t even look cute once they’re big enough for me. :/
