Happy Easter everyone!! This is a very special WIWS for me – it’s the first time I have hosted since our Confirmation at the Easter Vigil! I want to thank each and every one of the readers at Fine Linen and Purple for their prayers and thoughts as they have followed this journey. I think the journey has only begun!
It’s hard for me to find the words to describe Easter weekend. It was beautiful, emotional, joyful, and just amazing. When my children were baptized a few months back, I was prepared (for the most part) for how wonderful that would be, and for the emotions involved. This last weekend I wasn’t even close to prepared for how powerful it would be to see my husband baptized – it was amazing. I wasn’t prepared for the scent of the chrism during Confirmation, or the twinkle in the kind priests eye as he shook my hand. The Vigil itself is enchanting. Even my kiddos were mesmerized by the bells, the incense and the beautiful music.
I guess I did find words after all didn’t I? 😉 This weekend is another exciting time for us – it’s my oldest son’s First Communion! If you’ve read my conversion story you know that he was a big part of my conversion. I’m so proud of him, and his excitement is contagious. He’s very much aware of what a big event this is, and he is ecstatic.
On to the outfits! I’m cheating a little here – this is what I wore LAST Sunday to the Easter Vigil. I wanted to share a few photos with you.
Dress – George. Saw it on a whim and couldn’t get it out of my head.
Cardi – Gordman’s
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter! Link up those outfits!
